I'm A YouTuber!

Here is my digital story that I uploaded to YouTube. It is an informational story that I will show my class this week as we begin our nonfiction research and writing unit. I felt that this was a good way to get the kids interested in the subject of animals that live in the arctic, for each student will be responsible for researching and writing a report about an arctic animal. Hopefully something in this digital story will peak their interests enough to be motivated to write a report of their own. I really enjoyed preparing this digital story and look forward to making more!

  2. This is great and I'm super jealous that you're done already! Just in case you were wondering how you could further enjoy your digital story, you should watch it with captions on. Boy do they misinterpret some of what you say, and the misinterpretations are awesome (and by awesome, I mean hysterically funny). Yay for you!

    1. Thanks for the caption tip, that was hilarious! Blubber turned to blogger. Somedays I do feel more like bluber than a blogger ;-)

  3. Love your story and I can't wait to use it in my classroom! Starting in March (just in time for talk about Spring and Leprechauns) we are beginning a pilot unit for the Common Core and it takes the students to the Arctic (very well thought out for the time of year). This will really help provide them with some much needed background knowledge before we kick off our Arctic exploration!

  6. Great Job! I am currently working on a similar idea. My fourth graders have to research an endangered species for their research project and I am putting together a sample video.
